Paris Fashion Week LOEWE’s Autumn/Winter 2024 women’s show placed works by the late American artist Albert York at the centre of its incredible stage set.
Eighteen paintings, ranging from 1963 to 1990 were displayed in the green space. The stunning artworks on view included ‘Grey Dog in Green Landscape,’ oil on wood panel, from 1978 and ‘Zinnia in Ceramic Jar,’ oil on wood, from 1966, highlighting Jonathan Anderson’s endless fascination with visual arts.
Both the set and the show were simple yet spectacular. This show follows a recent presentation which included dramatic sculptures by American artist Lynda Benglis.
This impressive inclusion of York’s paintings in the latest stunning LOEWE show, in the form of a maze and painted in three different hues of green, represented the largest presentation of York’s paintings outside of America.
