Raf Simons, who had been appointed  CK artistic director in August 2016 left on 21 December. The identity of his successor has not yet been disclosed and no one knows what the fashion house will present next February during NY Fashion Week. After more than two years spent with the American fashion house, the Belgian designer announced that he was leaving in December.

Appointed head of the men’s and women’s lines in August 2016, having worked for more than three years at Dior, Raf Simons succeeded the creative duo Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli, and presented his first collection for Calvin Klein in February 2017.

During his two-year tenure at CK, Raf Simons was awarded no less than three awards by the US Council of Designers. His signature style is known as merging minimalism and US pop culture. At CK he secured groundbreaking partnerships with the Andy Warhol Foundation and the Robert Mapplethorpe Estate. Since his successor has not been revealed, will Calvin Klein present anything at New York Fashion Week next February? No one knows yet.
