Following the inception of a contemporary art programme since 2013 and exhibitions by Xavier Veilhan, Daniel Buren, Dan Graham, Felice Varini and Jean Pierre Raynaud, Olivier Mosset’s upcoming exhibition at Marseille-Modulor MaMO (on the top floor of Le Corbusier’s Cité Radieuse), will feature three works by the artist. This exhibition will coincide with MaMO’s 5th anniversary. Although never formally belonging to the Neo-Geo movement, Mosset’s work has been linked with artists associated with the style such as Ashley Bickerton and Peter Halley.
Highlights will include a Harley Davidson 74’ Panhead (1957) reflecting the artist’s deep affection for the world of motorcycles; and, in the solarium of the Cité Radieuse, two metal flats of 5 and 18 meters covered with a chameleon paint, whose reflections offer a unique tribute to the South of France sun.
