Björk is a busy artist. Ahead of an exhibition to be staged in Los Angeles from 19 May to 4 June exploring her oeuvre, the Icelandic extraordinaire launched a VR video for the song Notget from her latest album Vulnicura.
Conceived and directed by Warren du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones, long-time collaborators of the Icelandic artist but also of artists such as Massive Attack, the new amazing video depicts VR visuals of the singer in a vivid natural environment.
Last November, Björk announced the exclusive release of a VR video, with an accompanying teaser. The full version was made available today on Youtube after a preview on 3 November 2016 at the Iceland Airwaves festival in Reykjavík, Iceland.
Björk had already launched an experiment using Virtual Reality, entitled Digital Björk, in Houston, Texas last December (after Sydney, Tokyo, London, and Montreal).
