Sir Peter Blake’s creativity is without limits. The godfather of British Pop Art has collaborated with Bentley to design the unique Bentley Continental GT V8 S Convertible. This colourful car will be auctioned for charity by Bonhams at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, in London on 24 June and features Blake’s trademark-collages. Sir Peter’s signature is incorporated onto the fascia panel and embroidered on all four seat headrests which makes it really cool.
Sir Peter Blake, who is probably most famous for the cover of The Beatles iconic Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album, said: “I am proud to have been involved with transforming this beautiful car, and have enormous admiration for the people at Bentley who brought my design into being, to produce this one-off lovely car.”
Bentley has donated the car to the Care2Save Charitable Trust, which provides palliative and hospice care around the world. Pop Art at the service of a good cause.
