Kerlin Gallery, based in Dublin, re-opened to the public with an exhibition of new large-scale paintings by Richard Gorman. The exhibition is running until 15th August.
In dalkey 2, Gorman continues his exploration of ’emotional geometry’, in which vast expressionist blocks of colour mingle and spin on their axis instilling a phenomenal rhythm. The new works are inspired by jazz and colours. As Gorman’s understanding and mastery of colour has deepened, he has begun to use it not only as musical device, but as an active and dynamic engine for the creation of his paintings.
