Prada pays tribute to Kafka in Milan

The Prada Foundation in Milan honours literature through cinema, art and music. From 21 February to 27 July, 2020, the foundation hosts “K”, an exhibition inspired by three unfinished novels by writer and poet Franz Kafka: Amerika (America), Der Prozess (The Trial) and Das Schloss (The Castle). The show revisits these masterpieces through modern works including Martin Kippenberger’s The Happy End of Franz Kafka’s “Amerika” , Orson Welles’ The Trial, and Tangerine Dream’s rock album The Castle.

Visitors can immerse themselves into the unfinished novels through artistic, cinematographic and musical examinations. Divided into three sections, the exhibition is accompanied by a publication by museum curator Udo Kittelmann entitled “K”.
