Azuma Makoto’s floral ice sculptures for Dries Van Noten

Fashion always keeps pushing the boundaries of beauty. The latest proof: Japanese artist Azuma Makoto created floral ice sculptures for the Spring/Summer 2017 Dries Van Noten show presented during Paris Fashion Week. Makoto brought a poetic touch to Fashion Week by designing frozen blocks containing vibrant bouquets. These artistic floral totems formed a runway for models, a simple yet very powerful idea.

Makoto is famous for sending flowers to spacce, and his floral creations are commissioned by brands and concept stores including Fendi, Adidas, and Colette. His philosophy is all about celebrating flowers and the natural world.
