Maria Grazia Chiuri’s first couture show for Dior

Maria Grazia Chiuri presented her anticipated first couture collection for Dior at the Musée Rodin. The Italian designer took inspiration from the magical and transformed the museum into and enchanted garden featuring a wish tree, adorned with ribbons, lights and metal dragonflies – the work of artist Claude Lalanne – referencing the art that Christian Dior loved so much. The music sounded like it could illustrate Shakespeare’s midsummer night’s dream and VIPs including Kirsten Dunst and Bianca Jagger loved it.

This show is a come back to the intimacy of the designer. Models showcased subtle make up, delicate and light gowns embroidered with flowers. They wore graceful masks made of feathers or orchids. A beautiful and poetic moment.
