A mural by Eduardo Kobra in Jersey City, N.J., depicts David Bowie’s famous Ziggy Stardust bolt. Bowie’s death prompted tributes from fans and artists who had felt his influence. Accepting her Billboard Women in Music, Madonna said about Bowie: “He embodied male and female spirit and that suited me just fine. He made me think there were no rules. But I was wrong. There are no rules – if you’re a boy. There are rules if you’re a girl.”
