“Paris is always a good idea” said Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina.
Celebrated around the world, the Parisian girl continues to fascinate fashion magazines and taste makers. This September, Sofitel London St James presents an exhibition that celebrates both the Parisians and the City of Lights.
Curated by the famous photographic magazine Paris Match, La Parisienne will explore the attitude and grace of the Parisian girl, celebrating women whose enchanting elegance and innate sense of fashion symbolise the French capital. Twenty-two iconic photos dating back to the 1950s from the photography collection of Paris Match, including some shots from renowned Paris Match photographer Emanuele Scorcelletti will be on view at the London luxury hotel.
From archived shots of Catherine Deneuve and Jane Fonda to more recent photographs of Inès de la Fressange and Lou Doillon, the exhibition gives an enchanting insight into the lives of some of the world’s most famous women. A celebration of Paris, French cinema and style, this show will be on display between 27 September and 17 November 2016.
