Belgians: an unexpected fashion story

Belgium is one of the most respected nations when it comes to fashion. This exhibition, presented at the Palais des Beaux-Arts of Brussels and curated by Didier Vervaeren, gives insights into the DNA of Belgian fashion designers, starting with the legendary Antwerp Six (including Dries van Noten, Walter Van Beirendonck and Ann Demeulemeester) and culminating with the stunning careers of Martin Margiela, A.F. Vandevorst and Raf Simons.

The exhibition also highlights the work of several influential players in various fashion and art disciplines and showcasing the importance of the fashion academies such as the Antwerp Academy and La Cambre in Brussels.
