Francis Bacon exhibition to be presented at Tate Liverpool in 2016
Tate Liverpool has announced a Francis Bacon exhibition in 2016. The Albert Dock gallery will present Francis Bacon: Invisible Rooms from May 18 to September 18 next year and that makes me really happy.
The show, the latest in a series of major summer exhibitions staged at Tate Liverpool, will concentrate on the way the iconic artist set his subjects inside a ‘ghost-like’ frame.
It will include around 35 large-scale paintings and works on paper which feature the barely-visible cubic technique which Bacon used from the 1930s onwards.
