Running until 2nd January 2022, the Museum of the Petit Palais in Paris, features an exhibition of new spectacular works by contemporary artist Jean Michel Othoniel who continues to explore the properties of glass, beauty and the organic world.
The exhibition titled ‘Narcissus Theorem’ takes over the gardens and the museum and fully dialogues with the grand architecture of the Petit Palais.
This year, Jean-Michel Othoniel will also be inducted at the Académie des Beaux-Arts. For this special occasion, Kim Jones and the House of Dior have designed the artist’s uniform. Examining ideas of re-enchantment with the Mexican mathematician Aubin Arroyo, this exhibition is an invitation to dream and to resist the disappointments of the world.
In his illustrious career, Othoniel has beent he subject of remarkable exhibitions at the Samsung Museum of Art, Seoul, at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, at the Macao Museum
of Art, Macao, Le Louvre, Paris, at the National Museum of Qatar and at the Brooklyn Museum of New York among others.
