On 8th September, St Paul Cathedral will inaugurate Mary, the second permanent large-scale video installation created by American artist Bill Viola. The artwork will be on view in the North Quire aisle of the cathedral and will be unveiled to coincide with the celebrations of the Feast of Mary.

The new piece will stand alongside and complement Martyrs (Earth, Air, Fire, Water) which was unveiled in the South Quire Aisle of the cathedral in 2014. These installations are the first moving-image artworks to be installed in a cathedral in Britain on a long-term basis.
