Great marketing excercise at Burberry: the brand took over the Griffith Observatory (just behind the Hollywood sign and immortalized in that James Dean movie) in L.A to stage a spectacular show introducing the brand’s autumn/winter 2015 collection. It was followed by a garden party. VIPs included Victoria and David Beckham and family, Elton John, January Jones, Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Mario Testino, and campaign stars, Jourdan Dunn and Naomi Campbell and music performances by Benjamin Clementine, George Ezra, Tom Odell, Clare Maguire. Though the real stars were the Queen’s very own Horse Guards. Clichés and folklore are always useful when it comes to selling! The show was premiered via the new live-streaming app, Periscope.
“We really wanted to bring a little bit of London to L.A and so to be able to have the Queen’s guard here in Los Angeles is very special for us.” Christopher Bailey said post show.
