For Design Miami 2025 (2–7 December), Constanza Vallese reimagines Fendi’s rich heritage in a lily-strewn salon that radiates creativity, craftsmanship, and legacy. Collaborating with five Italian ateliers, Vallese translates the maison’s iconic codes into bronze, glass, ceramic, leather, and woven wool, producing pieces that fuse structural precision with delicate, tactile detail. It was one of the fair’s highlights.
Drawing inspiration from the collective spirit of the Fendi sisters, Vallese immersed herself in the maison’s Rome workshops, uncovering the seamless dialogue between tradition and bold innovation. The collaboration spans bronze from Fonderia Artistica Battaglia, Murano glass by Barovier & Toso, ceramics from Officine Saffi, rugs by CC-Tapis, and, for the first time, bespoke leather with Fendi itself.
The resulting collection elevates Fendi’s Selleria stitch, lily motifs, and a pale yellow-and-blue palette, suffused with the warmth of Miami sunlight. The installation is a modern Italian salotto, playful yet intimate, where every detail is considered, every surface imbued with care, and each object a celebration of material, colour, and artisanal mastery. Gorgeous!
