On Friday, Tom Ford revealed actress Tilda Swinton as the face of its new perfume, Black Orchid Reserve. The announcement coincided with the Venice Film Festival, attended by both Swinton and creative director Haider Ackermann.
Crafted by Ackermann and captured by renowned photographers Inez and Vinoodh, the campaign features both portraits and videos. While this marks Swinton’s first collaboration with Tom Ford Beauty, she has previously fronted major fashion campaigns, including for Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster and Chanel.
Black Orchid Reserve revisits Tom Ford’s iconic Black Orchid fragrance, originally launched in 2006. The new scent introduces notes of the rare Ghost Orchid, roasted tonka, and black truffle, offering a deeper, more intense interpretation of the original. Such “extrait” fragrances have grown increasingly popular, as consumers seek out longer-lasting versions of classic perfumes and more exclusive, premium blends.
Black Orchid Reserve will be available worldwide starting Monday.
