Alison Goldfrapp releases new album Flux

Goldfrapp remains a vital force in electronic music, continually pushing boundaries with her inventive sound and artistic sensibility.

In 2023, she launched her solo career with the release of her debut album The Love Invention, which she described as “my tribute to the dance floor.” The album includes collaborations with artists such as Claptone and Paul Woolford, and features tracks like “So Hard So Hot.” The following year, she founded her own label, A.G Records, and released the single “I Wanna Be Loved (Just a Little Better).” In April 2025, she announced her second solo album, Flux, led by the single “Find Xanadu.”

“My album titled ‘Flux’ will be arriving in August, the first album release on my own label A.G. Records. Launching my own label has been an exciting and empowering venture for sure.”

Outside of music, Goldfrapp has ventured into photography and directing, designing album artwork and helming her own music videos. Known for her striking visual style and commanding stage presence, her work often draws on themes from mythology and nature.

Flux‘ is about feeling and embracing change, celebrating the wild and euphoric. I’d say this time, both musically and lyrically, the songs are more personal than TLI. But as you might expect from me by now, they revel in fantasy and the natural world too.”
