It’s the 30th anniversary of Nine Inch Nails’ seminal record The Downward Spiral this year. A special tribute to this dark and dramatic masterpiece comes in the form of a collaboration between the iconic band and the footwear company Dr. Martens.

As NIN’s music is renowned for breaking boundaries, so too does this collection, which incorporates iconic Dr. Martens design: NIN zips and logos on soles. The collection features two takes on Dr. Martens’ iconic 1460 boot. One has striking black and white versions of the album’s “Wound” artwork, while the other showcases the “Crystal Teeth” image from the album’s interior art.

For a truly unique piece, the collection also includes a custom 1490 boot inspired by NIN’s wild pre-show rituals. This boot features a post-apocalyptic corn starch print and comes with two sets of laces for a customizable look. The crown jewel of the collection is a special edition 1490 boot featuring the entire Downward Spiral album art embossed on the leather. These boots won’t be for sale, but will be gifted to some of NIN’s most dedicated fans.
