AKT London – deodorant bijou balm

AKT is a recently established skincare business situated in London, offering sophisticated deodorant products that are “Born to Perform.” Ed Currie and Andy Coxon, two prominent figures in the West End Theatre, designed the inventive goods in their Camden kitchen and released it in 2020. And it’s a fantastic story featuring life-changing products.

AKT is a natural deodorant balm that is both powerful and transformative and once you’ve tried it, it’s impossible to buy anything else. It is cruelty-free and enhanced with a blend of enticing botanicals and Deo-Barrier ComplexTM to keep you feeling confident and dry all day long. AKT leaves no stains on clothing and is nice to the skin. It is entirely recyclable and environmentally conscious.

The founders explain that it all started it in 2015 while collaborating on a West End production. Maintaining dryness and freshness while doing eight gigs a week under intense lighting is the biggest challenge to these incredible performers. Not to mention the training, classes, and rehearsals that take place during the day. Simply said, mainstream deodorants were insufficient. Antiperspirants left them smelling bad after a few minutes, soiled their clothes, and did not stop the sweating. They decided to remedy this problem and started envisaging the best solutions to the problem. For the next three years, they worked together with leaders in fragrance and cosmetic science, bringing a wealth of creativity and high standards to their research, development, and formulation.

” It’s very important to us both, and we knew from the outset that our ethics would play a key role in the product. We are proud to have developed plastic-free packaging suitable for modern living. The Deodorant Balm is packaged in aluminium tubes ideal for their durability, portability and recyclability. Aluminium can forever be recycled without losing any quality. But plastic caps that usually accompany aluminium tubes can’t.  In response, we created bespoke aluminium caps to prevent more plastic entering our ecosystem. The only compromise is that our caps can’t pierce the seal, but simply find something sharp (a pen is ideal) and you’re good to go.” Founders Ed Currie and Andy Coxon said.

AKT is designed with efficacy, strong environmental ethics, and premium fragrances at its forefront. All the formulations are made in the UK and packed into our signature, vibrant, plastic-free packaging which is colourful, engaging and luxurious.
