Maurine Tric at Césure, Paris

Have you ever heard of art space Césure in Paris? The project, which took over the 25,000 square metres of the former Sorbonne-Nouvelle building (which moved to the 12th arrondissement), was designed by Plateau Urbain and Yes We Camp with a mission to become a “place of unexpected knowledge”.

A compelling reason to visit that location? As part of the Week of Infertility Awareness, photographer Maurine Tric (born in 1985) will be showcasing her sensitive project, “The void does not exist,” which revolves around her experience with medically assisted procreation (MAP), and running until November 11 to coincide with Paris Photo fair. The artist blends self-portraits, still lifes, landscapes, and family archival images in this series to create a subtle meditation on a difficult, painful experience that impacts more and more women.
