Coinciding with Salone del Mobile, Tod’s presents So Far So Goude, an exhibition of posters, photography, garments, illustrations and films by the French artist Jean-Paul Goude. The exhibition is staged at Milan’s PAC and will remain on view until 19 June.
The show spans his 30-year career, from the legendary Esquire Magazine covers, his New York years and collaborations with Andy Warhol and Keith Haring, to the manipulation of Grace Jones’ image, his muse, the spectacular French Revolution bicentenary parade staged in Paris in 1989 and other advertising commissions. The work of a true innovator.
“In photography, everything is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the extraordinary.” Jean-Paul Goude.
