The Shane Campbell Gallery, in Chicago presents an exhibition of new works by Californian artist Jon Pestoni. Pestoni’s work draw from Abstract Expressionism and explores themes of contradiction, failure, and movement through vivid colours and dynamic brushstroke. “I don’t necessarily know how to finish a painting except by repeatedly trying to,” Pestoni has said. “I try to introduce problems into my practice.”
